It’s Time To Let It All Out!

Jenna Lee - Daring Journey

Bestselling author of young adult fiction, Jenna Lee, shares how journal writing can help us reconnect with ourselves and get through difficult times.

One of the best things we can do when things seem uncertain is to use this time to create a positive mindset and know that we cannot change what’s happening. We can only do what we are advised and hope that it will all be over soon.

In the meantime, now is the perfect time to start a journal or reconnect with your old one.

Use writing to let out your thoughts, to discover who you are and learn new things.

Journal writing is a great way to release unwanted thoughts and to find out who you are. You may be wondering but how do I start? I hear you and sometimes a blank piece of paper can be scary.

But do not fear, I have some journal writing prompts to get you started. To help unleash those thoughts and be writing your way to bravery.

My Daring Journal:

Daring Morning

I feel

My word for today is

What was the best thing about yesterday? And can I do more of it today?

Daring Journal

What do I need to hear today?

What makes me happy?

It’s time to let it all out—what’s on my mind? What am I worried about? How am I feeling?

From My Daring Journal

Remember that your journal is yours only, a safe place for you. You do not have to share it with anyone. Write down your deepest thoughts and have fun with it.

Another great way to keep positive during this time is through affirmations. Creating, writing and/or speaking affirmations out loud can change your overall mood and will have you dancing around with a massive smile on your face. Try reading these affirmations in front of the mirror and really take in each word you tell yourself.

Daring Culture: Affirmations

Positive affirmations to say in front of the mirror:

  • I am beautiful.
  • I am courageous.
  • I am mindful.
  • I am powerful.
  • I am kind.
  • I am confident.
  • I am creative.
  • I am compassionate.
  • I am determined.
  • I am daring.

You could also write down in your journal your own affirmations, think about what you love about yourself and things that you are grateful for right now. It could be that you are grateful for your family or you are grateful for having extra time with yourself right now.

If you loved journal writing with me you can add this into your daily routine. Reaching for your journal anytime that you are feeling the need.

If you enjoyed the journal prompts you can get your very own FREE My Daring Journal – 7 Day Journal when you sign up to my newsletter here www.jennalee.biz or the full six month journal at www.jennalee.biz/books
